C. CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

My research focuses on curriculum development, implementation, assessment and innovation. It is a blend of pedagogical and media research targeting at ensuring effective use of instructional materials to facilitate effective teaching via appropriate instructional strategies having the teaching of language as my priority. I have worked on effective use of instructional resources (see paper 1). My research has also delved into the use of instructional methods (see papers 2 and 7). It has also shown the views and attitude of OAU, Ife lecturers to pedagogical skills training (see paper 3). My research has equally worked in the area of reformation of teacher education programme via a sustainable policy of education (see paper 4). It has also discussed diversity in Nigeria with pidgin English as the target (see paper 5). My publication again centers on students’ preference for genres of Literature-in-English (see paper 6). Owing to the fact that my work combines both instructional strategies and instructional materials/packages, my work explores the use of media and multimedia packages, tools and innovative means for effectiveness of teaching curriculum content across school subjects considering contemporary challenges(see papers 8-19). I have also co-authored an English language texts for primary school pupils (1-6) where I was the lead author.
